10 Years

Ten years down the road, I’m 30 and married, living a life that feels steady, intentional, and full of purpose. There’s a golden retriever in the picture—friendly, overly curious, and constantly wandering into my studio sessions like it owns the place. By this point, I’m leading a cybersecurity consulting firm that specializes in helping organizations stay protected while keeping their systems streamlined and efficient. The work is challenging in the best way, and I’ve built a team that values innovation just as much as practicality.

Music is still a huge part of my world, and it hasn’t faded into the background. Far from it. On weekends, I play bass in a touring gospel-fusion band that performs at conferences, festivals, and the occasional out-of-state event. The combination of travel, community, and live performance keeps me inspired and grounded. My home studio has evolved too—it’s become a creative hub where friends, musicians, and collaborators drift in and out. Sometimes we record, sometimes we experiment, and sometimes we just hang out surrounded by gear, ideas, and good energy.

Over the years, I’ve learned that success isn’t just measured in career milestones or technical accomplishments. It’s about balance—staying creative, staying curious, and making space for the people and projects that matter. It’s also about impact. Whether I’m helping an organization secure its network or crafting a soundscape for a new track, I want the end result to make things better than they were before.

The goal at 30 isn’t just to have a stable life—it’s to build one that continues to grow, evolve, and create opportunities for others. If the next decade is anything like the last, I plan to keep learning, keep building, and keep leaving a positive mark wherever I can.
